Taking an interest in the younger generation, Maxine has given masterclasses in the UK and Singapore, coached the violins of the National Children's Orchestra and also the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra at the Aix-en-Provence Festival. As well as taking part in numerous education projects for the LSO Discovery department Maxine also coaches violin sectionals at the RAM and the GSMD. She has given talks or adjudicated at the Bromley Youth Music Trust, The Beckenham Festival, Southbank Sinfonia, Wiltshire Music Centre and Bromley High School.

The main focus through the year is her role as 1st violin mentor for the LSO string experience scheme where students at music colleges audition for a chance to perform projects with the orchestra therein gaining valuable feedback and insight into life as a professional orchestral musician.

She has written articles for and been interviewed by Classic FM, the Violin Channel, the Strad, Musical Orbit and Bachtrack to name a few.
