These include many Oscar nominated and winning blockbusters such as the Star Wars franchise, most of the Harry Potter series, Twilight New Moon, Zero Dark Thirty, The Queen, The Imitation Game, Monuments Men, Shape of Water, Cinderella and Brave. Computer game recordings have become an exciting new venture in the recording business of late. Maxine has been been involved in many projects which vary from Candy Crush Soda to The Last Guardian and includes the very popular Star Wars Battlefront series. Other commercial recordings include working with such eclectic artists as Jennifer Lopez, Chaka Khan, Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter, Emilie Sande, Nobuo Uematsu and Tony Bennett. As well as taking part in numerous education projects for the LSO Discovery department Maxine also coaches violin sectionals at the RAM and the GSMD. She successfully auditioned for a place on the London Symphony Orchestra string experience scheme whilst at the RAM and became a permanent member of the 1st violins in 2001 after graduating with an ARAM and a 1st class honours degree. Maxine’s career with the LSO has taken her to countless countries across the globe including tours across Asia, South America and frequent trips to Europe. Maxine was honoured to be featured as one of five “Musicians behind the Moment”, an advertising campaign by the Musicians Union in 2018. She was also featured with a four page article in the Musician magazine the following year. Maxine can be seen on YouTube in a series of online masterclasses for the LSO and on their "LSO play" app for tablets. She features on the LSO's YouTube channel in two duo recitals filmed at LSO St. Luke’s, one of which was the very first concert the orchestra ever streamed live online. She loves to spend time eating and shopping with her best friend, the violinist Sarah Chang when their schedules permit them to meet somewhere in the world. She’s well known at work for her enthusiastic autograph hunting and since the invention of the smartphone, has an impressive gallery of selfies.
